This morning started a little crazy. Sophie was cranky pants and I just couldn't make her happy. All the Elmo currently stored on the DVR could not make her happy this morning. Jimmy was busy trying to get work done in the office and Adela was swiftly making easy work of our dusty shutters. The house was quickly getting crowded. Time to escape! I tossed (almost literally) Sophie in the car and started driving. We ended up at Target (shocker) and I came across the cutest silver glitter skeleton. Now I am not one to embrace Halloween decor. I can get into Christmas, sure who cant. But I have never been one to break out the faux spider webs and orange twinkle lights.
Maybe its because Sophie is turning two and the girl can certainly appreciate a silver skeleton, but I had to buy it. Full price. Uuugh. My wheels started turning...fall is here, glittery skeleton would look great on our front door, add fall flowers to replace dead summer flowers, house guests arriving soon. And I was off! $20 at Home Depot later and I have the beginnings of a festive front entrance. Just need the pumpkins!
